Being Part of a Team
Being part of a team means that you need to look out for more than just yourself. A team is concerned about the greater good, not just individual stats or how they look. We want to be a team in every sense of the word. These team rules will help us achieve that goal and make it clear for everyone what we mean when we say we are a team.

DO:

  • Be supportive of your teammates.
  • Encourage and recognize good effort.
  • Take reasonable shift lengths. Everyone wants to play.
  • Include your teammates in on-ice play.
  • Consider your actions before doing or saying something.
  • Give 100% on the ice.
  • Arrive 30 minutes before game time.
  • Listen to your coaches when they talk. We may not talk a lot but we expect you to listen.
  • If you can’t make a game, give your coaches 48 hours notice. If you can’t make a tournament, let us know a week in advance.
  • Be a good person.

DON’T:

  • Talk to or taunt opposing fans or coaches.
  • Use misogynistic, racial, or gender-based comments towards anyone.
  • Use negative comments or swear at teammates or coaches.
  • Use alcohol or drugs before games or after games on arena or city property.
  • Bully your teammates or opponents. Everyone just wants to have fun.

DRESSING ROOM:

  • We welcome you to play music in the dressing room as long as it is at a reasonable volume and is not overly offensive. While it is impossible to find music that appeals to everyone, if someone is offended or made uncomfortable by what is being played then it is to be skipped. Music will stop immediately when the coaches ask for silence.
  • No parents or friends in the dressing room.

COACHES AND STAFF WILL:

  • Treat all players with respect and patience.
  • Be generous with their praise.
  • Offer advice and work in a positive manner to correct mistakes.
  • Never swear at or belittle a player.
  • Do their best to give fair ice time to players.
  • Speak to referees and game officials with respect.
  • Answer questions from parents and guardians in a timely manner.

These are serious rules. Any violations will result in repercussions ranging from missing a shift, period, game, multiple games, or further disciplinary action.
