There is news today, which some of you may have seen in The Spectator. They City will not be opening our beloved arena to start the season, instead they are only opening Chedoke, Rosedale, Mohawk 4 Quad Pad, and Morgan Firestone and placing all minor hockey programs in those arenas until they determine how much demand there is for ice.

Dear Coronation Families,

There is news today, which some of you may have seen in The Spectator. They City will not be opening our beloved arena to start the season, instead they are only opening Chedoke, Rosedale, Mohawk 4 Quad Pad, and Morgan Firestone and placing all minor hockey programs in those arenas until they determine how much demand there is for ice.

What exactly this means for our program is unclear. There is a meeting of the Hamilton Minor Hockey Council later this week in which we hope more details will be forthcoming. We have heard a few different scenarios, some more appealing than others. No decisions have been made as of yet.

In all honesty we don’t know much more than this. As soon as we have more information, we will pass it along. In the meantime, we remain open for no-cost, no-commitment registration. We’re still planning for a safe, exciting, and fun hockey season, whatever form it may take.

Please reach out if you have any questions.
